Arbor Day Celebration May 6, 2011

Prince George’s County officials and staff will join the students and faculty of Robert Frost Elementary School in New Carrollton for a tree planting ceremony in celebration of Arbor Day on Friday, May 6, 2011.
 
The Honorable Rushern L. Baker, III, Prince George’s County Executive will serve as keynote speaker and accept the TREE CITY USA award from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ Forest Service. Prince George’s County is the only county in the nation to receive this award for 27 consecutive years. During the celebration, Samuel E. Wynkoop, Jr., Acting Director of the Department of Environmental Resources (DER), will present an Arbor Day Proclamation to school principal, Renita Alexander-Spriggs.
